Job Description

As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, you will report to Manager Supply Chain Planning. Role Overview: As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, your role will involve material planning & control, inventory management, transport management, 3PL coordination, and active participation in new product development (NPD) processes. Key Responsibilities: - Formulate Material Procurement Plans based on Manufacturing/marketing requirement for maintenance of Kanban System, JIT Supply & two bin supply for required volumes - Plan and procure production components (based on allocated commodity) at the right time without creating stock out or excess inventory - Forecast material requirement to suppliers based on future demand - Monitor & Release purchase orders in time for material requirement to the vendors as per the production plan on a daily basis, taking into account monthly level plans - Follow up with vendors for material shortages as per pending orders statement, missed KANBANS, and visit them whenever required - Prepare procurement policy for parts as per production requirement & define inventory levels as per projected customer demand. Monitor Nonmoving, slow-moving parts - Conduct system stock and physical stock verification regularly through Cycle Counts to ensure correct stocks in the system - Analyze and report reasons for stock discrepancy and take actions accordingly - Coordinate with Transporters for milk run supplies of local parts - Manage logistics operations involving coordinating with companies for sea/ air/ road transport, forwarder, and other external agencies to achieve a seamless flow of parts - Resolve document discrepancy issues of suppliers at the warehouse - Coordinate for critical parts and NPD supplies - Coordinate return logistics of trolleys, skids, containers with suppliers - Actively participate in DN process and ensure effective DN implementation ensuring smooth Phase in and Phase out Qualifications Required: - 2+ years of experience in purchase/supply chain - Knowledge in supply chain processes and manufacturing is a plus - Fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi - Proficiency in IT tools like ERP (BPCS), MS-Excel, Word etc - Degree in Production/Mechanical Engineering In return, the company offers a culture of trust and accountability, lifelong learning and career growth, innovation powered by people, comprehensive compensation and benefits, and a focus on health and well-being.
