Supply Chain Planning Engineer-1

As a Supply Chain Planning Engineer, your primary responsibility is to achieve corporate supply chain performance targets by focusing on inventory reduction, increased inventory turns, and improved order-to-delivery results. Your role involves deploying the Supply Chain Planning Process, developing the Plan for Every Part, and implementing Pull Replenishment methods for a facility. You will work collaboratively with diverse, multi-functional teams to develop lean material flow plans, which may include changes to factory floor layout and material presentation. Key Responsibilities: - Gather and analyze data on facility demand and supplier shipping performance for each part required for production - Develop material flow plans for all material coming into a facility - Create and maintain a site level Flow Map for parts used in production - Enable and coach facility employees to utilize PFEP templates and provide necessary reports and information Qualifications Required: - Experience and knowledge of complex lean concepts and tools - Familiarity with CPS supply chain principles and pull replenishment processes - Strong understanding of common supply chain systems - Knowledge of 6Sigma Project Management principles - Leadership skills to lead supply chain improvements effectively - Collaborative, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to drive common supply chain processes - Analytical and problem-solving skills to creatively solve complex problems - Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures - Design and deploy lean systems in a highly productive environment - Qualification as a CPS Support Team Leader and CPS Functional Job Role Qualified - APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification highly desired Background/Experience: - College or university degree related to Supply Chain or equivalent experience - Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process - Minimum of 7+ years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience - Previous experience as a Supply Chain Planning Analyst or Engineer desired - Background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management, and/or Logistics highly desired Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer, encouraging qualified applicants of any age to apply.,
