DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
- Develop planning system strategies to optimize signals across the supply chain.
- Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system to maintain accuracy.
- Use standard processes, tools, and information systems to manage materials planning effectively.
- Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
- Execute daily operational planning activities for a specified functional area.
- Identify potential supply chain risks or failures during the planning process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (internal and external) to drive short-term tactical improvements.
- Use materials planning systems to generate consistent planning signals across the supply chain.
- Participate in and contribute to functional process improvement initiatives.
- Evaluate and implement part change controls, ensuring minimal obsolete inventory while meeting customer delivery requirements.
- Apply Plan for Every Part (PFEP) principles to ensure the right parts are delivered at the right time, in the right quantity and place.
- Establish and maintain Master Supply Schedules aligning procurement, production, and replenishment plans with customer needs.
- Utilize advanced tools (e.g., BI Dashboards, Planning Command Centre) for root cause analysis, inventory optimization, and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Mandatory: 6–10 years of relevant experience in materials planning, procurement, or production planning in a manufacturing environment.
- Preferred: Proven success in reducing inventory levels and implementing supply chain improvements.
- Nice to Have: Experience managing 30–40 suppliers and 1,000+ parts in a plant environment.
Technical Competencies
- Materials Planning System Utilization: Proficient use of planning systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP) to manage supply/demand plans, resolve exceptions, and take corrective action.
- Part Change Control Management: Implement engineering changes while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Plan for Every Part (PFEP): Apply PFEP principles for end-to-end supply chain planning and execution.
- Master Supply Scheduling: Align procurement and production schedules with customer requirements.
- Material Planning: Use advanced tools and BI dashboards for informed decision-making.
- Materials KPI Management: Analyze, interpret, and act on KPIs to drive performance improvement.
Skills and Competencies
Must Have:
- Strong learning agility; demonstrated ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
- Excellent prioritization and multi-tasking skills under pressure.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Deep expertise in materials planning and supplier procurement.
- Hands-on experience managing material availability, resolving shortages, and securing supplier commitment.
- Proficiency in conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implementing SMART action plans.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Working knowledge of allocation and constraint planning.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.
- Experience in inventory optimization and safety stock strategies.
- Exposure to managing complex supply chains with high supplier and part counts.
