Job Overview
Performs analyses and supports supply chain activities to ensure smooth operation and improve supply chain efficiency.
Job Requirements
Performing internal and external audits and analyses of processes to strengthen the supply chain and ensuring compliance with the safety and quality standards of the organization.
Maintaining stock rooms and inventory accuracy and participating in the physical inventory counts. Assisting in the evaluation of suppliers and participating in plant surveys to evaluate and recommend prospective suppliers. Reviewing and completing purchase orders, coordinating with the suppliers to place orders, and expediting the delivery of purchased items to meet delivery schedules
Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary interface between customers, Project Management (PM), Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Purchasing, Demand Management (DM), and the cross-Business Unit planning community.
  • Forecast customer demand and collaborate with Sales to manage stocking and production planning effectively.
  • Lead improvement initiatives focused on Sales & Operations Planning (STR) enhancement, inventory and freight cost reduction, and lead-time (LT) minimization.
  • Develop and optimize material flow value streams, partnering with Sales and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) teams to enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Generate detailed reports, analyze causes of production shortfalls, and develop systems, procedures, and processes to meet targets.
  • Escalate critical issues within and outside the plant to ensure timely resolution and achievement of results.
  • Conduct daily and weekly reviews of Master Production Schedule (MPS), material availability, and production completion status.
  • Monitor and resolve exception messages promptly to maintain smooth production flow.
  • Define and stabilize procedures for material ordering, order acknowledgment, tracking of in-transit materials, and timely arrival
  • Conduct weekly meetings with Purchasing to review and ensure material availability.
  • Distribute weekly inventory reports to all MRP controllers, collaborating to set inventory levels for the upcoming three months.
  • Monitor inventory on hand and maintain inventory turnover rates in line with organizational targets.
  • Drive development of parts and suppliers within expected timelines, ensuring quick turnaround times for New Product Development (NPD) projects.
Education and Knowledge
Bachelor Of Engineering Equivalent
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor of Engineering or Equivalent
Minimum 5-6 years of relevant Experience
SAP knowledge is Must
