Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE), you play a critical role in ensuring the quality of products or components supplied by external vendors. Your responsibilities include: - Supplier Selection and Qualification: Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance. - Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure suppliers meet quality standards. - Supplier Audits and Assessments: Conduct audits and assessments of suppliers" facilities, processes, and quality systems. - Product Inspection and Testing: Conduct incoming inspection and testing of supplier-provided products. - Defect Analysis and Corrective Action: Investigate and analyze defects, and work with suppliers to implement corrective actions. - Supplier Performance Management: Monitor and report on supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost metrics. - Quality Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of supplier quality performance, audit results, and corrective actions. - Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work with engineering, procurement, and production teams to ensure supplier quality aligns with business needs. Qualifications required for this role: - Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or related field. - Experience: 0-4 years of experience in quality engineering or a related field. - Certifications: Certifications like ISO 9001, or Six Sigma can be beneficial. - Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
