Job Description

Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing, managing, auditing, improving, and correcting supplier planning and execution of component manufacturing and assembly techniques and quality control processes from the advanced development phase to mass production qualification. Additionally, you will provide leadership for New Product Introduction (NPI) at Suppliers, review CAD drawings, conduct DFM with suppliers, and execute qualification activities required for product release PPAP. Collaboration with Tesla Design, Quality, and Manufacturing to determine performance specifications and supplier metrics will also be a key part of your role. Key Responsibilities: - Possess demonstrable leadership abilities and previous experience managing safety-critical parts - Communicate and direct supplier activities at the management level - Define and execute projects using project management techniques - Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and demonstrate excellent team building skills - Have experience in Quality Systems and PPAP/APQP processes - Be well versed with new product development, customer launch DFMEA & PFMEA, and DFM - Learn new skills and processes, including development simulation methods and tools - Demonstrate knowledge of simulation tools, design tools, methodologies, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes of electronics Top Level Assembly for EV - Possess fundamental knowledge of electrical and electronics products, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and inspection - Review and analyze product specifications and operational limits for successful product validation - Have exposure to design, simulate, and qualify product components and assemblies - Understand SMT process, automation in manufacturing assembly, EOL testing of Electronic Modules, and PPAP for Automotive - Knowledge of Product Development Cycle for Automotive Electronic Assemblies, GD & T, Data Management/Change management processes, and drawing standards - Familiarity with Plastic, Metal, Part Design, Tooling, and Manufacturing processes - Strong technical writing ability and proficiency in explaining complex issues concisely - Proficient with SPC, data analysis, and experience in using Statistical Software packages like Minitab or JMP, as well as MS Office Qualifications Required: - BS Degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Industrial / Material/Manufacturing Engineering or evidence of experience and exceptional ability - 0-2 Years Experience in Automotive Top Level Assembly Component Development preferred Additional Details: - Soft Skills Required: Highly motivated, proactive engineer; Strong in Analytical Skills, Presentation Skill; Strong communication skills with international teams; Strong Problem-Solving Skills; Strong Interpersonal skills; Experience working with International OEM/Supplier; Able to work independently and under high pressure, an average of 50 - 60% travel, possibly on short notice.,
