Job Description

Codebase Audit & Handover:
Audit existing SpotBids.Best repository, map modules, document runtime behaviour, and propose immediate stabilization fixes.

GoComet Enhancements:
Implement auto-extension detection, adaptive bidding until final cutoff, robust retry logic, structured logging, and notification improvements.
SuperProcure Automation:
Build inquiry detection (API or monitored fallback), extract OA details, push to SpotBids.Best, and implement client-specific bidding workflows (e.g., Syngenta: 3 attempts; Renewsys: 30 attempts/time-based).
Dashboard & Analytics:
Implement or extend React admin dashboard - active RFQs, countdowns, L1/L2/L3 status, bid history, KPIs (win rate, margin analytics, manager/branch leaderboards).
Notifications & Integrations:
Integrate WhatsApp (Gupshup/Interakt/Twilio), email alerts, escalation flows and ensure message routing to correct managers.
Operational Stability:
Implement job queues, cron/bull workers, monitoring, alerting, and failover strategies for API downtime.
Documentation & Handover:
Produce README, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and onboarding docs so the system is maintainable by any engineer.
Ownership & Communication:
Provide regular status updates, participate in sprint planning, and own milestone delivery and bug triage.

Eligibility Criteria

Must Have Skills :

Core (must-have):

Node.js & Express production experience building APIs and scheduled/async workers.
Python experience with automation libraries (Playwright or Selenium) for web monitoring/bot tasks.
Databases MongoDB (Mongoose) and either MySQL/Postgres (Sequelize/Prisma).
REST API integrations OAuth/token handling, polling strategies, rate-limit handling, retries/exponential backoff.
Frontend React.js (for admin/dashboard tasks, charts, realtime updates).
Messaging APIs WhatsApp providers (Gupshup/Interakt/Twilio) & transactional email.
Background processing cron, BullMQ/Redis jobs or equivalent queueing.
Logging & Monitoring structured logs, Sentry/Prometheus-like alerting, and actionable metrics.

Desirable (nice-to-have):

Experience with logistics/transport procurement platforms (GoComet, SuperProcure) or reverse-auction systems.
Experience building dashboards with Looker Studio / Power BI or in-house React visualizations.
Familiarity with containerized deployments and cloud infra (AWS/GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
Security best practices for handling API keys and sensitive procurement data.
