Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Summer Intern Human Resources to support the HR function across Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Training & Development, Payroll Support, Employee Engagement, and Policy Development.

This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure to HR practices within a structured professional environment while working closely with senior HR leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Talent Acquisition (TA) & Recruitment Support

  • Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, and internal databases.
  • Conduct preliminary HR screening and candidate evaluation.
  • Schedule interviews and coordinate feedback with hiring managers.
  • Maintain ATS, recruitment trackers, and daily dashboards.
  • Support campus hiring initiatives for trainees and interns.

2. Onboarding, Induction & Employee Experience

  • Coordinate pre-joining formalities and document verification.
  • Prepare offer letters, onboarding kits, and induction presentations.
  • Conduct Day-1 induction and ensure a smooth joining experience.
  • Update HRMS/employee master data accurately.
  • Assist in tracking probation reviews and confirmation documentation.

3. HR Operations & Administration

  • Maintain employee records, personal files, and digital HR databases.
  • Draft HR letters (confirmation, promotion, transfer, experience letters).
  • Support exit formalities, documentation, and clearance processes.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating HR SOPs and internal HR workflows.
  • Help coordinate internal communication and HR announcements.

4. Payroll Support & Attendance Management

  • Assist in monthly attendance reconciliation and validation.
  • Support timesheet verification, leave summaries, and overtime calculations.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs (new joiners, exits, salary revisions, variable pay).
  • Gain exposure to statutory deductions (PF, ESI, PT, Gratuity).
  • Support basic payroll verification and audit checks.

5. Leave, Policy & Compliance Support

  • Assist in drafting and updating HR policies (leave, travel, onboarding, etc.).
  • Conduct benchmarking studies on HR policies and best practices.
  • Support compliance documentation—PF, ESI, audit records, statutory files.
  • Maintain leave trackers and assist employees on leave/attendance queries.

6. Training, Learning & Development (L&D)

  • Coordinate training schedules, attendance, assessments, and feedback.
  • Prepare training materials, presentations, and evaluation forms.
  • Support internal training programs—technical, functional, and soft skills.
  • Track employee learning records and create basic L&D reports.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and performance gaps.

7. Employee Engagement & Culture Building

  • Plan and execute engagement initiatives (festivals, R&R, CSR activities).
  • Manage employee feedback surveys and analyze results.
  • Support communication channels—newsletters, emailers, posters, intranet.
  • Contribute creative ideas to enhance workplace culture and employee morale.

8. HR Analytics & Reporting

  • Prepare HR MIS reports—recruitment metrics, attrition data, training dashboards.
  • Maintain HR trackers (recruitment, onboarding, attendance, L&D).
  • Support data analysis using Excel/Google Sheets for management reviews.

Who Can Apply

  • Students pursuing MBA/PGDM in HR, Master’s in Psychology/Organizational Behaviour or related disciplines.
  • Strong interest in building a long-term career in HR.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • High levels of professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail.
