Job Description

As an experienced Substation Automation Engineer joining our Power Automation & Digitization team, you will be responsible for developing, configuring, and testing RTU/FRTU systems and Power SCADA applications for substation automation projects. - Develop and configure RTUs/FRTUs and SCADA applications for substation automation projects. - Integrate IEDs with RTUs/SCADA using standard protocols like IEC61850. - Ensure alignment of all development with system architecture, control schemes, and SLDs. - Follow standard engineering and development practices to maintain consistent quality. You will also be responsible for: - Conducting thorough in-house testing and validation based on requirement documents, functional design specifications, and control drawings. - Ensuring systems meet functional and communication requirements before deployment. - Preparing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation, including design documents, system configurations, test reports, and integration records. Furthermore, your role will involve: - Carrying out testing and commissioning of substation automation systems at client sites. - Providing remote (online) support to customers and internal commissioning teams for troubleshooting and system optimization. - Providing training and development support to junior engineers to foster a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment. Qualifications: - Education: B.Tech/BE with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation. - Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in RTU configuration, IED integration, SCADA/HMI development, and commissioning of power automation systems. - Skills: Proficient in configuration and integration of RTUs, SCADA, and HMIs from major OEMs, strong knowledge of communication protocols, hands-on experience in integrating IEDs, good understanding of substation schemes, SLDs, FDS, control and panel drawings, excellent collaboration and communication skills, ability to take responsibility, work independently, and demonstrate leadership when required.
