You will be joining our Power Automation & Digitization team as an experienced Substation Automation Engineer. Your main responsibilities will include developing, configuring, and testing RTU/FRTU systems and Power SCADA applications for substation automation projects. In the development phase, you will configure RTUs/FRTUs, develop SCADA applications, and integrate IEDs with RTUs/SCADA using standard protocols like IEC61850. It is crucial to ensure that all development aligns with system architecture, control schemes, and SLDs, following standard engineering practices for consistent quality. During testing and validation, you will conduct thorough in-house testing based on requirement documents, functional design specifications, and control drawings to ensure that systems meet functional and communication requirements before deployment. You will also be responsible for preparing and maintaining technical documentation, including design documents, system configurations, test reports, and integration records. Additionally, you will carry out testing and commissioning of substation automation systems at client sites and provide remote support for troubleshooting and system optimization. As part of your role, you will provide training and development support to junior engineers to create a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment. To qualify for this position, you should have a B.Tech/BE degree with a focus on Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation, along with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in RTU configuration, IED integration, SCADA/HMI development, and commissioning of power automation systems. Skills required include proficiency in configuring and integrating RTUs, SCADA, and HMIs from major OEMs, strong knowledge of communication protocols such as IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104/101, DNP3, Modbus RTU/TCP, OPC, etc., hands-on experience in integrating IEDs with RTU/SCADA systems, and good understanding of substation schemes, SLDs, FDS, control, and panel drawings. Excellent collaboration, communication skills, ability to work independently, and leadership skills are also essential.
