Guidance Plus Educational Services is in search of a committed and seasoned Study Abroad Counselor to become a part of our vibrant team in Kochi, Ernakulam. In the role of Study Abroad Counselor, you will be instrumental in assisting students navigate the intricate journey of studying abroad, starting from the initial consultation and extending to post-enrollment assistance. Your key responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

Conducting one-on-one consultations with students to understand their academic background, interests, and career aspirations.
Providing personalized guidance and advice to students on suitable study abroad programs, universities, and courses based on their individual profiles.
Assisting students with the application process, including document preparation, university selection, and visa application.
Organizing and conducting informative seminars, workshops, and presentations to educate students and parents about study abroad opportunities.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with educational institutions, universities, and other relevant stakeholders.
Keeping abreast of the latest developments and trends in the study abroad industry to provide accurate and up-to-date information to students.
Providing ongoing support and assistance to students throughout the entire study abroad journey, including pre-departure orientation and post-enrollment follow-up.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in a relevant field (education, counseling, international relations, etc.).
Minimum of 6 months of experience in the study abroad field, preferably as a study abroad counselor or student counselor.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students from diverse backgrounds.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple student cases simultaneously.
Sound knowledge of study abroad destinations, universities, academic programs, and visa procedures.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in relevant computer applications and software.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in a related field.
Certification in counseling or relevant professional qualifications.
Previous experience working with educational consulting firms or study abroad agencies
