IICT is committed to fostering innovative skills and knowledge in the fields of animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, and extended reality. The institute offers cutting-edge training and is positioned to be a hub of creativity and technological advancement.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Mumbai. The Student Counselor - AVGC-XR will be responsible for providing student and career counseling, assisting students with academic and career planning, and delivering excellent customer service. The role includes assessing student needs, providing guidance on educational pathways, and offering support throughout their educational journey at IICT.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students in goal-setting, time management, and adapting to academic expectations
• Help students understand course trajectories, skill development pathways, and specialization choices
• Facilitate connections with faculty mentors and industry professionals for career exploration
• Organize well-being workshops, mental health awareness weeks, and peer-support programs
• Collaborate with faculty and administration to build inclusive, responsive support systems
• Maintain documentation and impact reports for student services and support activities
• Believes in holistic education and the student as a creative, evolving individual
• Approaches support with warmth, precision, and cultural sensitivity
• Collaborates across departments to build empowered learning communities

Qualifications

• Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills
• Prior experience in the AVGC-XR sector is a Important
• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills
• Experience in the Education sector - AVGC- XR
• Empathetic and approachable demeanor
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff
• Bachelors degree in Counseling, Education, related field
