**Job Description** **Role Overview:** You will be serving as Faculty Gaming at Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT), responsible for academic leadership, curriculum development, and industry alignment for game design and development programs. Your role will involve developing the academic strategy for the Gaming vertical, incorporating AI-driven techniques, working on outreach and admissions, recruiting suitable staff, mentoring junior faculty, staying updated on tech trends, facilitating industry engagement, and aligning the department's roadmap with IICT's long-term vision. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop the academic strategy and delivery of the Gaming vertical, focusing on design, development, art, and game production. - Incorporate AI-driven techniques such as procedural content generation, intelligent NPCs, and adaptive learning systems into the curriculum. - Work with other IICT teams towards outreach and admissions. - Identify and recruit suitable staff for teaching and technical roles. - Mentor junior faculty, review courseware, and ensure project-based learning. - Stay ahead of tech trends in game engines, metaverse development, and interactive storytelling. - Facilitate industry engagement through workshops, internships, and speaker series. - Align the department's roadmap with IICT's long-term vision as a world-class deemed university. **Qualifications:** - 20+ years in the gaming industry with experience in game design, development, or publishing. - Extensive teaching or academic experience at reputed game design institutions. - PHD in a similar field is preferred. **Additional Details:** Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) is a section 8 company formed with the objective of upskilling manpower in the Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics, Xtended Reality (AVGC-XR) Industry. IICT operates out of the NFDC campus at Peddar Road, Mumbai, and will move to a sprawling 10-acre campus in Goregaon film city, Mumbai by 2027.
