Faculty Animation & Comics

You will be responsible for the following role at Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT): Role Overview: As a Faculty Animation & Comics at IICT, you will be leading the curriculum design, teaching excellence, and industry integration for the Animation and Comics vertical. Key Responsibilities: - Design and update curriculum with both foundational and cutting-edge techniques, including AI in Animation pipelines. - Teach key subjects and mentor junior faculty to ensure high-quality instruction. - Bridge industry-academia gap by inviting guest faculty, establishing collaborations, and setting up real-world student projects. - Collaborate with tech and creative teams to maintain world-class infrastructure and tools. - Work with other IICT teams towards outreach and admissions. - Identify and recruit suitable staff for teaching/technical roles. - Ensure alignment with UGC norms and IICT's vision to be a deemed university. - Be a thought leader and represent IICT at various industry gatherings. Qualifications Required: - 20+ years of experience in the Animation and/or Comics industry with strong academic teaching credentials in a premier institute/university. - Proficiency in animation pipelines (2D, 3D, stop motion), character design, storytelling, and comic creation. - Demonstrated experience using or integrating AI tools in animation workflows (e.g., generative design, AI-assisted cleanup, virtual production). - Prior experience in teaching or leading academic teams in a premier higher education institution or training center. - Strong knowledge of industry-standard software like Toon Boom, Harmony, Maya, Adobe Suite, Blender. - Ability to mentor faculty and students; excellent interpersonal and communication skills.,
