Role & responsibilities

The Structural Steel is responsible for leading and managing all activities related to structural steel engineering within the Infrastructure Construction business. The role ensures structural integrity, adherence to specifications and standards, coordination across engineering, procurement, and construction functions, and delivery of steel structures in line with project timelines and quality.

Lead design coordination and detailing of steel structures in compliance with relevant codes and client specifications. Review and approve structural drawings, fabrication drawings, and connection designs.

Interface with design consultants, vendors, and internal design teams to ensure quality and constructability. Conduct structural analysis and provide engineering solutions to address site issues or design conflicts.

Collaborate with procurement to evaluate vendors and ensure the quality of structural steel materials. Provide technical guidance to site teams during the erection and installation of structural steel.

Drive quality assurance and control processes to ensure flawless execution and installation. Monitor and control project budgets related to structural steel.

Mentor and develop junior engineers in the structural steel domain. Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental norms in all structural steel operations.

Preferred candidate profile

1. B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering (M.Tech preferred).

2. Fluency in English (verbal and written); regional language proficiency is an added advantage.

3. Experience in infrastructure projects, Hands-on exposure to steel design software, Strong knowledge of Indian and international codes.

4. Structural design and analysis, Steel connection design, Interpretation of fabrication drawings, Proficiency in STAAD Pro, TEKLA Structures, AutoCAD, Knowledge of construction methodology for steel erection
