Job Overview:

ARBT is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Chennai team. This role involves designing, analyzing, and ensuring the stability, safety, and durability of prefabricated modular buildings and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with expertise in designing and assessing structural components, preparing accurate drawings, and working in compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Analysis: Develop and assess structural components to withstand loads, environmental factors, and construction constraints, specifically for prefabricated modular systems.

Documentation: Prepare accurate drawings, calculations, and engineering specifications for construction projects.

Compliance: Ensure designs adhere to building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure smooth project execution.

Site Inspections: Conduct site visits and inspections to assess construction progress and identify potential structural concerns.

Software Proficiency: Utilize software tools such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAFE, ETABS, IDEAStatica, Mathcad, Tekla Tedds & Tekla Structural design or other relevant engineering software for design and analysis.

Technical Guidance: Provide technical expertise and recommendations for material selection, construction techniques, and cost optimization.

Requirements:

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in structural design, analysis, and construction projects, preferably in prefabricated modular construction.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAFE, ETABS, IDEAStatica, Mathcad, Tekla Tedds & Tekla Structural design & SAP2000.

Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian building codes (IS codes) and safety regulations.

Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
