Structural Design Engineer

As a Civil and Structural Design Engineer in the oil and gas industry, your role is critical in ensuring the safety, cost-effectiveness, and structural soundness of all civil and structural assets, whether on land or offshore. Your responsibilities include performing advanced structural analysis and design, leading project management and coordination efforts, conducting integrity assessments of existing facilities, providing field and construction support, and overseeing documentation and quality assurance processes. Key Responsibilities: - Perform advanced structural analysis and design for reinforced concrete and steel structures, including pipe racks, platforms, foundations, and buildings. - Design specialized foundations like dynamic foundations for large rotating machinery and pile foundations for complex structures. - Conduct in-depth analysis for fatigue, seismic, and blast resistance for both onshore and offshore structures. - Develop detailed engineering deliverables such as technical specifications, calculation reports, and engineering drawings using advanced software like STAAD.Pro, SACS, and ABAQUS. - Lead civil and structural aspects of projects from conceptual stages through execution, collaborating with other engineering disciplines, and managing project schedules and budgets. - Conduct structural integrity assessments, implement inspection and reliability programs, and provide repair recommendations for in-service structures. - Perform site visits, provide technical guidance during construction, and support in decommissioning projects. - Ensure designs comply with international standards, maintain project documentation, and oversee the quality control of contractor and vendor work. Qualifications Required: - Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. - Experience: 8-12 years of relevant experience in high-risk industries, preferably in oil and gas, petrochemicals, or energy sectors. - Project Experience: Proven track record in greenfield and brownfield projects, covering all project phases from FEED to commissioning. - Technical Expertise: Proficiency in structural analysis, knowledge of international codes and standards, and experience with software like STAAD.Pro, SACS, and ABAQUS. - Personal Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, effective teamwork, and leadership capabilities.
