Job Title: Senior PHP Full Stack Developer Cloud Telephony Specialist

Location: Hybrid / Remote (Preferable Mumbai) Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 10+ Years Industry: Cloud Communications / SaaS / Telephony Solutions

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Senior PHP Full Stack Developer with a strong background in cloud telephony platforms. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable telephony applications, integrating voice, SMS, IVR, and call analytics into robust web platforms. This is a strategic role that blends hands-on coding with architectural decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop end-to-end web applications using PHP (Laravel/Symfony/CodeIgniter) and modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue/Angular)

Architect and maintain scalable cloud telephony systems using platforms like Twilio, Exotel, Plivo, or Knowlarity

Integrate APIs for voice, SMS, IVR, call routing, and real-time analytics

Optimize backend performance, database queries, and server-side logic for high- volume traffic

Collaborate with DevOps to deploy and monitor applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP

Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices in software engineering

Work closely with product managers and QA teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric features

Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and data privacy standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years of experience in full stack development with PHP and JavaScript

Deep expertise in cloud telephony platforms (Twilio, Exotel, Plivo, etc.)

Strong command of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time communication protocols

Proficiency in MySQL/PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Redis

Experience with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure

Solid understanding of telecom workflows: IVR trees, call routing, number masking, etc.

Familiarity with Asterisk, FreeSWITCH, or similar open-source telephony engines is a plus

Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AI/ML integrations in voice analytics or speech recognition

Exposure to CRM or ERP systems with telephony integration

Contributions to open-source telephony or PHP projects
