Stores & Shipment Executive

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities for a Stores & Shipment Executive generally include:

• Inventory Management:

  Overseeing stock control, maintaining accurate inventory records, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with the procurement team to prevent stockouts or overstock situations.

• Receiving and Dispatching:

  Managing the physical loading and unloading of materials, verifying incoming goods against purchase orders, and organizing outbound shipments.

• Documentation and Compliance:

  Preparing and managing all necessary shipping documentation, such as invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, while ensuring compliance with relevant local and international shipping regulations.

• Logistics Coordination:

  Coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and internal departments (e.g., sales, production, accounts) to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries.

• Operations Oversight:

  Managing daily warehouse operations, optimizing storage space, and implementing procedures to improve efficiency.

• Reporting and Analysis:

  Preparing reports on inventory status, shipment tracking, and overall store/warehouse performance for management review.

• Problem-Solving:

  Resolving any issues related to shipments, inventory discrepancies, or delivery delays.

• Safety and Security:

  Ensuring that the warehouse adheres to health, safety, and security standards.

• Experience:

  Previous proven experience in engineering goods company, warehouse management, shipping, or logistics roles is essential.

• Technical Skills:

  Proficiency in inventory management software, ERP systems (like SAP or ERP), and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).

• Soft Skills:

  Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment.

• Certifications:

  Professional certifications like the Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) can be advantageous.
