Key Responsibilities:1. Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming medical, surgical, pharmaceutical, and general supplies. Check deliveries against purchase orders and invoices for accuracy. Inspect for damages, expiry, and ensure quality standards are met. 2. Storage and Inventory Management: Store items systematically using proper tagging, bin cards, and labeling. Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage areas. Implement First-In-First-Out (FIFO) and First-Expiry-First-Out (FEFO) practices. 3. Issue and Distribution: Issue items to various departments based on indents or requisitions. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of requested items to departments like OT, ICU, pharmacy, etc. Record and maintain issue slips and stock movement logs. 4. Documentation and Records: Maintain accurate records of receipts, issues, returns, and stock adjustments. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports. Assist in periodic physical stock verification and audits. 5. Coordination: Coordinate with Purchase, Pharmacy, Nursing, and other departments for inventory needs. Liaise with vendors for timely delivery of critical items (if required). 6. Compliance and Safety: Follow hospital protocols related to infection control and biomedical waste segregation. Ensure storage conditions meet regulatory and safety standards, especially for temperature-sensitive items. Qualifications and Skills: Education: Graduate (preferably in Commerce or Science). A diploma or certification in Materials Management is a plus. Experience: 2–5 years in hospital or healthcare store management. Technical Skills: Knowledge of hospital materials, MS Office, inventory software (like ERP/HMIS). Soft Skills: Attention to detail, organization, communication, teamwork, and integrity.
