Store Officer

Role Purpose

effective receipt, storage, issuance, and control of raw materials, spares, consumables, tools, and finished goods

Key Responsibilities

A. Store Operations & Inventory Control

• Receive materials as per

  Purchase Order (PO)

  and verify quantity, quality, and documentation.
• Maintain proper storage of

  raw materials, spares, consumables, tools, chemicals (if applicable), and finished goods

  .
• Issue materials to production, maintenance, and other departments against authorized requisitions.
  
• Ensure FIFO / FEFO practices as applicable.
  

B. ERP & Documentation

• Maintain real-time inventory records in

  ERP / SAP.

• Prepare and maintain:
  
• GRN (Goods Receipt Note)
  
• Issue slips / material requisitions
  
• Stock registers and bin cards
  
• Ensure proper documentation for

  audit and statutory inspections

  .

C. Stock Accuracy & Control

• Conduct

  daily/weekly/monthly stock checks and cycle counts

  .
• Support

  physical stock verification

  and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
  

D. Coordination with Purchase & Production

• Coordinate with

  Purchase / SCM

  for timely material availability.
• Provide consumption data and stock status for procurement planning.
  
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Projects teams for material planning.
  

E. Vendor & Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with transporters and vendors for material inward and dispatch.
  
• Ensure proper

  packing, labeling, and dispatch documentation

  .
• Liaise with Security for gate entry, material inward/outward control.
  

F. Safety, Housekeeping & Compliance

• Ensure safe storage of materials as per

  safety and EHS guidelines

  .
• Maintain proper

  housekeeping (5S)

  in store areas.
• Follow

  ISO, audit, and internal control procedures

  .
• Ensure compliance with

  Factories Act

  and internal SOPs.

G. Asset & Tool Control

• Maintain records for

  tools, returnable items, scrap, and non-moving inventory

  .
• Track issue and return of tools and PPE.
  
• Assist in scrap disposal and surplus material management.
  

H. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports including:
  
• Stock summary
  
• Aging analysis
  
• Non-moving / slow-moving items
  
• Consumption reports
  
• Highlight inventory risks and improvement opportunities to management.
