Store Executive (Mechanical Background)

Job Purpose

To efficiently manage engineering stores, including receipt, storage, and issue of mechanical parts, consumables, and tools, while ensuring accurate stock control and smooth coordination with production and maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming mechanical materials, spares, and consumables as per purchase orders.
• Identify and store machine parts, bearings, tools, and equipment systematically for easy retrieval.
• Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software/manual registers.
• Conduct periodic physical verification of mechanical spares and reconcile with system data.
• Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels for critical machine components to prevent downtime.
• Ensure proper storage conditions to prevent damage, rust, or deterioration of mechanical items.
• Issue spares, tools, and consumables to production/maintenance teams as per requirements.
• Coordinate with the purchase, production, and maintenance departments for timely material availability.
• Handle returns of defective or excess mechanical items as per policy.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on stock status, consumption, and shortages.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and audit standards in store operations.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of engineering materials, mechanical components, and industrial consumables.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP / Odoo / Oracle etc.) and MS Excel.
• Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with technical teams.

Qualification & Experience

• Graduate Or

  Diploma in Mechincal is preferred

• 23 years of experience in stores/inventory management in a

  manufacturing/engineering setup

  .

• Store Manager / Supply Chain Manager / Plant Head
