Store Manager

A store manager is a hands-on, operational leader responsible for the performance of one store location.

• Day-to-day operations:

  Manages daily activities, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures.

• Staff management:

  Is responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising employees within their store.

• Sales and profitability:

  Sets performance goals for their team and drives strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets for the single store.

• Customer service:

  Ensures high customer satisfaction, handles complaints, and trains staff on service standards.

• Inventory and visual merchandising:

  Controls inventory levels, coordinates with suppliers, and maintains the store's visual appearance and layout.

• Reporting:

  Regularly reports on the store's performance to higher management, such as a district or area manager.

Senior Manager of Stores

A senior manager of stores operates at a higher, more strategic level, overseeing and guiding the store managers beneath them. This role is a typical career progression for a successful store manager.

• Strategic planning:

  Sets broader organizational objectives for the stores under their supervision, aligning them with company goals.

• Multi-store oversight:

  Manages a cluster of stores within a specific region or is responsible for a single high-volume flagship store.

• Leadership and mentorship:

  Guides, mentors, and develops the individual store managers reporting to them, ensuring they are effective leaders.

• Budget and financial management:

  Manages larger departmental budgets and financial reports. A senior manager approves significant expenses or hires that have been requested by store managers.

• Critical decision-making:

  Makes complex, time-sensitive decisions that affect multiple stores or the entire department

Preferred candidate profile

Must be SAP knowledge and decision level.
