Job Description

1. Inventory Management Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock. Conduct regular physical verification of inventory. Ensure stock levels are maintained as per requirements (no overstocking or stockouts). Tag and store materials systematically for easy retrieval. 2. Goods Receipt and Inspection Receive materials against Purchase Orders (PO). Check quality and quantity as per the PO. Report any discrepancies or damages immediately to the Purchase/Accounts department. 3. Procurement Coordination Coordinate with the procurement team for timely ordering of stock. Raise Material Requisition Notes (MRN) as per department requirements. Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and proper documentation. 4. Documentation & Compliance Maintain GRN (Goods Receipt Note), Invoices, and other documents. Ensure all procurement and store processes comply with internal SOPs and audits. Assist in preparing reports for audits, stock verifications, and compliance checks. 5. Vendor Management (in coordination with Procurement) Maintain a list of approved vendors. Ensure vendors deliver within timelines and quality standards. Help in vendor evaluation and performance tracking. 6. Billing & Invoicing Support Verify vendor invoices against PO and received goods. Coordinate with the finance department for timely payments. Maintain a record of pending payments and disputes, if any. 7. Coordination with Departments Liaise with various departments to understand their material needs. Ensure urgent material requirements are fulfilled without delays. Provide usage/consumption reports to management when needed. 8. Safety & Storage Ensure proper storage of materials as per category (e.g., perishables, chemicals, medicines). Implement FIFO (First-In-First-Out) or FEFO (First-Expiry-First-Out) methods. Follow safety norms in storage and handling of materials.
