Store and Dispatch In-Charge

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management:

• Receive, unload, and store raw materials, components, and finished goods.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and inventory verification.
• Maintain accurate records of all stock movements using inventory management systems.
• Implement and follow the method for stock rotation.
• Manage stock levels, including disposing of surplus and expired items.

• Receiving & Dispatch:

• Inspect deliveries for quantity, quality, and damage upon arrival.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding discrepancies and issues with deliveries.
• Prepare and dispatch goods to various departments or customers accurately and efficiently.
• Generate material receiving reports (MRRs) and other relevant documents.

• Warehouse Operations:

• Arrange and maintain organized allocation of inventory in the store.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts and hand-guided trucks for moving and storing items.
• Maintain the neatness, cleanliness, and safety of the store and storage areas.
• Conduct periodic safety inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Record Keeping & Documentation:

• Maintain inward and outward stock registers and ensure completion of purchase orders.
• Report damaged inventories for record-keeping and potential reimbursement.
• Complete and attach shipping documents to outgoing goods.

Required Skills

• Physical Stamina and Dexterity:

  To lift and move heavy items, safely operate machinery, and perform warehouse duties.

• Attention to Detail:

  For accurate record-keeping, damage inspection, and quantity checks.

• Organizational Skills:

  To manage stock layouts, maintain cleanliness, and ensure proper storage.

• Technical Skills:

  Proficiency in using inventory management software and data entry systems.

• Mechanical Aptitude:

  To identify and potentially handle spare parts for machinery.

• Communication Skills:

  To liaise with suppliers, internal departments, and management.
