Storage & Backup Administrator III

As a skilled Backup admin, you will be joining the global backup operations team to monitor, manage, and optimize backup services and technologies deployed across multiple geographies. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a highly available, reliable, secure, and efficient backup environment for internal customers. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of data protection services including Backup & Recovery, Solution Design, Implementation, and Migrations - Maintain and enhance backup environments to meet performance, availability, and compliance standards - Manage installation, configuration, and upgrades of backup software and hardware - Work extensively with technologies such as Commvault, Veritas NetBackup, Cohesity, and related backup solutions - Manage and troubleshoot backups for applications including Oracle, MS-SQL, MySQL, MS-Exchange, VMware, NDMP, etc. - Utilize scripting skills to automate recurring backup and recovery tasks - Develop automated backup and recovery solutions using scripts or third-party tools - Operate in alignment with ITIL/ITSM processes: Incident, Change, Problem, and Configuration Management - Ensure compliance with audit requirements and backup/recovery process documentation Qualification Required: - Proven expertise in Commvault, Rubrik, and Cohesity - Relevant certifications in storage technologies (Commvault, Cohesity, Rubrik - at least two preferred) - Experience in ITIL-based environments or similar operational frameworks In this role, you will be expected to have experience in ITIL Service Design, development, and maintenance of solution roadmaps, along with involvement in defining backup/recovery processes and audit support.
