Steward

Job Summary:

An experienced Restaurant Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the restaurant, including the kitchen, service areas, and dining spaces. The Steward supports smooth kitchen and service operations by handling dishwashing, cleaning tasks, waste disposal, and basic kitchen assistance, ensuring a clean and safe working environment in line with hospitality industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, back-of-house areas, and dishwashing stations.
• Collect and dispose of garbage, recyclables, and kitchen waste according to hygiene protocols.
• Ensure proper storage of clean kitchen tools and equipment.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report stock levels to the supervisor.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food prep and equipment setup as needed.
• Maintain floor cleanliness and manage spillages promptly.
• Follow safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor immediately.
• Support banquet setup and clearing, as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a stewarding or kitchen utility role.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Physical stamina to stand for long hours and carry heavy loads.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹19,000.00 per month
