Job Purpose Provides engineering solutions as part of a SSE project taskforce, in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, procedures, processes, schedules, and budget, with a continuous concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction. Will be responsible for structural integrity, timeliness and cost effectiveness of all designs under their control and shall ensure that all design and design activities meet the requirements of the project and are fit for purpose. Independently perform structural design and analysis and supervise structural engineers performing design and analysis. Create and review technical engineering documents. Manage project design reviews and constructability reviews. Provide sound engineering advice on subsea structural analysis and design to ensure efficient and cost-effective fabrication, handling and subsea installation. Ensure technical compliance and quality as well as ontimedelivery of all responsible deliverables. Ability to mentor and manage a team of engineers & designers. Attend meetings with project teams and interface with clients and be able to provide engineering recommendations and solutions. Drives innovative solutions to optimize subsea structures and improve efficiency. Demonstrated experience in supporting engineering for subsea projects constrained by safety, quality, delivery, and cost requirements. Travel to and attend site as required to guide, inspect or oversee fabrication of structural items. You are meant for this job if: BS degree in Engineering preferred or equivalent with 3 to 5 years of experience in the field. Sound understanding of Engineering practices, design methods & calculations. Experience in mentoring, leading a team of engineers & delivering projects. Experience in structural steel design preferably in Offshore and Subsea field (Accordance with applicable industry code DNV / ASME / API, etc.) and fatigue analysis. Experience in reviewing engineering designs, documents, layouts, calculations and interpreting FEA/ structural analysis results. Strong knowledge of engineering discipline and physical modeling techniques (solid mechanics, strength of material, fluid dynamics) is required. Strong technical basis in engineering Experience in SACS / other beam element software. Knowledge in Finite element experience on ANSYS / Abaqus software. Ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with ability to effectively transfer subject matter expertise. Estimating Structural & Miscellaneous steel as per AISC standards. Prepare the proposal document with proper inclusions & exclusions. Proficient in understanding the structural steel design documents, structural drawings and Architectural drawing. Evaluates and reviews engineering documentation such as drawings, specifications and scope of works to understand the requirements of the project. Provides detailed and accurate material and component take-offs against the technical drawings, specifications and scope of work documents. Handling of large/complex projects and working on customized solutions. Coordinates with the Project Management team to collect input regarding execution strategy and total project solutions. Desired Candidate Profile 7+ years of experience in estimating Steel Structures with AISC standards. Duties and Responsibilities Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures. Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests. Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered. Identifies discrepancies in results. Provides guidance to entry level engineers. Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision. Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization (e.g., Institution of Civil Engineers, UK) or Progressing towards Chartership with relevant experience is Preferred 8+ years of design experience in structural engineering. Minimum 3+ years of experience in UK Rail industry with experience in Station structures, platform, lineside infrastructure etc. Multi D coordination experience, on railway projects. Experience in leading a small team of Engineers and CAD. Experience in both Concrete and Steel design. RC detailing and BBS check experience. Design experience in general civils work like foundations(pile, raft, pad), retaining walls etc. Experience in design/assessment of Steel footbridge, stair and lift shaft.
