State Lead - Logistics - Telangana

As an experienced professional in the field of customs and logistics, you will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound logistics operations to ensure the smooth movement of materials and vehicles between various ports, yards, and customs checkpoints. Your primary duties will include coordinating with customs authorities in Kakinada and Vizag for clearances and permissions, overseeing reverse logistics processes for repairs and refurbishment abroad, and providing support to the RCP-Import Team for inbound and outbound logistics. You will be involved in handling inbound logistics from Chennai air/sea port and Kakinada Port, as well as coordinating with custom brokers, transporters, shipping companies, and surveyors for import cargo customs clearance and documentation. Monitoring the movement of cargo from port to shorebase and ensuring compliance with documentation requirements will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will manage claims for damage or shortages, as well as facilitate the reverse logistics process for goods sent abroad for repairs and refurbishment. In terms of documentation and compliance, you will provide support to the RCP-Imports team, assist with import and re-export documentation, and handle customs-related matters such as hazmat disposals, export permissions, and storage approvals. Your role may also involve responding to show cause notices from customs, drafting replies in consultation with relevant stakeholders, and representing the company in customs meetings. To qualify for this position, you must hold a graduate degree with a postgraduate qualification in Export Import or Materials Management. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience is required, with a preference for candidates with prior experience in the Oil and Gas industry. Key skills and competencies for this role include expertise in export, import, foreign trade, insurance, and transportation, as well as a thorough understanding of working with custom bonded goods and operating in Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Familiarity with SAP MM Module, proficiency in MS Office, and knowledge of inspection and audit processes are also essential.
