Job Description

A State Head in FMCG is responsible for driving business growth and ensuring profitability within a specific state by developing and executing sales strategies, managing distributor and retail relationships, and overseeing all sales operations. Key responsibilities include setting sales targets, analyzing performance metrics, managing a team of sales professionals, and ensuring brand availability and visibility in the market. They must also coordinate with other departments like supply chain and finance, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. Key roles and responsibilities

  • Strategic planning and execution: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue targets, market share growth, and other business objectives for the state.
  • Sales operations management: Oversee day-to-day sales activities, including primary and secondary sales, to meet and exceed targets.
  • Team leadership and management: Lead, manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales managers and staff, ensuring they are high-performing and adhere to company values.
  • Distributor and retailer management: Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and key retailers, ensuring product availability, proper display, and adherence to agreements.
  • Market analysis and performance monitoring: Track sales performance, analyze market trends and competitor activities, and use data insights to adjust strategies and optimize results.
  • Financial and operational oversight: Manage the state budget, ensure compliance with company policies, and work with finance to monitor collections and payments.
  • Stakeholder relationship management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and potentially government officials.
  • Brand and product management: Ensure consistent brand visibility and product availability across the state through effective sales strategies and point-of-sale materials.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
