Job Description

Hiring for a company which is into Seed quality improvement product manufacturing to be based in Vadodara

Develop and implement dealer business plans, manage forecasting, inventory management and product line demand issues, set the business direction, and coordinate follow-ups with dealers.
• Coordinate market development/fact plots and farm demonstrations with the assistance of large growers.• Train the dealer sales force to sell value, deliver our brand experience and manage objections, mostly through ride along and joint farmer calls.• Implement, promote and communicate marketing incentive programs.• Actively manage inventory concerns as appropriate to meet business objectives.• Demonstrate proof of product performance against the competition by being the champion of Agro products and product/technical/agronomic knowledge.• Establish side-by-side trial plots with targeted farmers to collect summarize performance data to optimize seed product recommendations.• Develop the strategies and implement comprehensive dealer business plans to drive sales and expand the reach of SPB products in the state at District and Taluka Levels.• Achieve Sale Numbers as per target.• Manage forecasting, inventory control, and address product line demand challenges.• Set the overall business direction, ensure seamless coordination with dealers, and oversee oversee timely follow-ups.• Market segmentation/Pre-planning of the market.• Develop strategy for collection and recovery.

  • Liaison with sales and marketing team, state agriculture, farmers, research personnel.
  • Travelling in various markets across the zone/state, for conducting product trials, collecting, recording, analysing & interpreting data.
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing Team-New product launch, technical training, complaint handling.
  • Should have knowledge on crop, pests, diseases, weeds, competitor products,segment.

    Educational Qualification:

    B.Sc./M. Sc. Or Ph.D. in Agriculture (Entomology/ Pathology/Weed control)1. 15 plus years of equivalent experience in working in the agriculture industry.

2. Demonstrate self-motivation, initiative, assertiveness, and results orientation.

3. Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced changing environment.

4. Previous experience successfully working in teams.

5. Product Development exposure with MNC/good Indian organisations

6. Done extensive Field trials (Insecticides, Fungicides, Herbicides, PGR) of new products.

7. Mobility & willingness to travel extensively.

8. Demonstrated creativity in developing new products/brands

9. Good interpersonal & analytical skills
