Job Description

1. Key Accountabilities

  • Drive full P&L responsibility for the Retail Business in Maharashtra.

  • Lead and manage the State Team including Retail Sales, Land, Project

Coordination, and Corporate Affairs functions.

  • Achieve sales targets, land acquisition targets, and policy & regulatory outcomes.

  • Coach, mentor, and build a high-performing team.

  • Develop new business opportunities in Overall Renewable Energy (RE) sector

2. Objectives

  • Deliver annual business targets and profitability objectives.

  • Establish Maharashtra as a strategic growth hub for Retail Business.

  • Build a resilient, market-driven, and compliant operational structure.

  • Strengthen government and regulatory relations to enable business continuity.

  • Drive team development and succession planning.

3. Accountability

  • Revenue growth, margin improvement, and overall profitability of the state business.

  • Leadership of Retail Sales, Land Procurement, Project Coordination, and

Corporate Affairs functions.

  • Execution of business strategy at the state level.

  • Strategic stakeholder engagement including government, regulators, and partners.

4. Strategy & Planning

  • Prepare and execute a State Business Plan aligned with corporate growth strategies.

  • Identify new business opportunities in Wind, Solar, and Hybrid sectors.

  • Strategically plan land acquisition and regulatory advocacy initiatives.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and policy developments to

fine-tune strategies.

5. Financial Management

  • Prepare the State Budget and manage financial performance.

  • Ensure cost optimization and profitability across business verticals.

  • Monitor sales realization, land costs, and project delivery budgets.

6. Operations and Execution

  • Drive sales closure, land procurement, and project delivery through team

leadership and cross-functional coordination.

  • Operationalize regulatory and policy guidelines effectively at ground level.

  • Ensure timely escalation and resolution of on-ground challenges impacting

project delivery.

7. Risk Management

  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks associated with land acquisition,

regulatory changes, market volatility, and project execution.

  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements at the state level.

  • Build business resilience through proactive risk mitigation strategies.

8. Governance

  • Ensure adherence to internal governance protocols and external regulatory

requirements.

  • Ensure ethical business practices and compliance with corporate policies.

  • Regularly report on operational and financial performance to senior leadership.

9. Future Sustainability

  • Develop and implement initiatives for long-term business sustainability.

  • Focus on diversifying revenue streams across Wind, Solar, and Hybrid solutions.

  • Foster innovation and sustainable practices across business operations.

10. People Management

  • Lead a diverse, multi-disciplinary team by providing clear direction and motivation.

  • Develop and execute a Talent Development Plan for the state team.

  • Cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, and high performance.

11. KPI

  • Achievement of Annual Sales Targets and Profit Margins.

  • Timely Land Acquisition as per business delivery plan.

  • Number of successful regulatory interventions and approvals.

  • Project Execution Timelines and Customer Satisfaction Score.

  • Team Engagement Scores and Talent Retention Rates.

  • Business development and new market entries in Solar/Hybrid segments.
