Staff Engineer- Firmware Development & Validation

As a Firmware Development and Validation Engineer at Alphawave Semi, you will play a crucial role in accelerating critical data communication in various industries such as data centers, networking, artificial intelligence, and autonomous vehicles. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and executing test plans, firmware, and tests - Increasing efficiency through automation and innovative tools - Utilizing source control tools/techniques and maintaining software development and release processes - Demonstrating a sense of ownership of complete module/tasks - Developing production-quality software, including testing, documentation, static analysis, and CI/CD/CT - Interacting with hardware, software, and cross-functional teams to validate SoCs with minimum delays Qualifications Required: - Minimum 8 years of experience in Firmware development and Validation, Proficiency in C/C++ and Python coding - Excellent knowledge in low-level firmware/baremetal HW/IP driver writing - Experience in developing and debugging RTOS based drivers - Exposure to Silicon Bringup Silicon Validation is a plus - In-depth understanding of the HW is a must - Exposure to design and develop firmware/drivers for high-speed interfaces e.g., PCIe, Ethernet, UCIe, USB, etc. - Good knowledge of embedded development tools such as JTAG and associated debug tools - Work experience on ARM Cortex platform/MIPS/RISC-V CPUs - Work Experience with FPGAs based platforms is a plus - Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team - Good knowledge of System software stack, Power Management, High-speed peripherals, USB, SDIO, Ethernet, PCIe UCIe, Ethernet, etc., and memory subsystem like DDR/LPDDR, etc. - Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review - Work experience on Heterogeneous and Multiprocessor SoC platforms - Exposure to Pre-Silicon environment with RTL Co-Simulations is a plus point - Experience with development environments such as Linux, Git, Jira, and Confluence In addition to the exciting technical challenges, Alphawave Semi offers a comprehensive benefits package to support your personal and professional well-being.
