Description
As a GAOC Accountant at Qualcomm India Private Limited, your primary responsibilities will include: - Managing and performing US GAAP general accounting activities - Preparing and recording properly supported standard entries - Performing activities required for month-end closing, such as preparing and posting journal entries, GL analysis, TB review, variance analysis, and providing ad-hoc support as needed - Analyzing and maintaining the general ledger to ensure accuracy of revenue and cost - Performing monthly and quarterly account reconciliation according to Qualcomm Policies - Acting as a subject matter expert, analyzing and recording activity for assigned accounts - Providing ad hoc reports to HQ, local controllership team, and other finance functions - Preparing quarterly balance sheet analysis, review, and remediation - Providing recommendations on improvements in the general ledger system - Supporting the local controllership team in external annual audits by providing timely financial data and documentation - Ensuring compliance with Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements Qualifications/Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 4-6 years of experience or Chartered Accountant with 0-2 years of experience - Accounting experience in a multi-GAAP environment and shared service center - Exposure to working in an ERP instance, preferably Oracle - Excellent written and verbal fluency in English - Strong organizational and prioritization skills - Flexible approach with a strong team spirit - Effective interpersonal and communication skills - Proficient in IT skills including Excel and Outlook - Experience in a large Multi-National Company is an added advantage Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - 6+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience - Advanced degrees in a relevant field can be substituted for up to two years of work experience Please note that Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities during the application/hiring process.
