As a GAOC Accountant, you will be responsible for managing and performing US GAAP general accounting activities, preparing and recording properly supported standard entries, and conducting activities required for month-end closing. This includes preparing and posting journal entries, GL analysis, TB review, variance analysis, and providing ad-hoc support as needed by the business. You will analyze and maintain the general ledger to ensure the accuracy of revenue and cost, perform monthly and quarterly account reconciliations according to Qualcomm Policies, and act as a subject matter expert for certain assigned accounts. Additionally, you will provide ad-hoc reports to HQ, local controllership team, and other finance functions, prepare quarterly balance sheet analysis, review and remediation, and offer recommendations for overall improvements in the general ledger system. Furthermore, you will support the local controllership team in external annual audits by providing timely and appropriate financial data and supporting documentation in line with local GAAP requirements and accounting standards. It is essential to ensure that all processes and policies are compliant with Internal Audit and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements. The ideal candidate for this position should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance with 4-6 years of experience or be a Chartered Accountant with 0-2 years of experience, preferably in an accounting environment. Experience in a multi-GAAP environment, shared service center, and working with ERP instances (preferably Oracle) is desired. Excellent written and verbal fluency in English, strong organizational and prioritization skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills, and proficiency in IT skills including Excel and Outlook are also required. A flexible approach, strong team spirit, ability to deliver against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics, and attention to detail are essential qualities for this role. Previous experience working in a large Multi-National Company will be considered an added advantage for potential candidates.
