The Position

Reporting Manager: - Senior Vice President, Fine Chemicals

Key Responsibilities

Synthetic Chemistry Process Development:

• Proficient in multi-step synthesis, with a strong foundation in diketene and heterocyclic chemistry.
• Skilled in vapor phase reactions, pressure reactions, and continuous process development.
• Hands-on experience in halogenation reactions including chlorination, bromination, and Halex reactions.
• Expertise in complex chemistries such as Grignard reactions, lithiation, cyclization, condensation, elimination, and reduction.

Impurity Profiling Analytical Skills:

• Competent in impurity synthesis, isolation, and characterization.
• Strong interpretation skills in NMR, Mass Spectrometry, and other analytical techniques.
• Adept at norms calculation and data interpretation for process optimization.

Scale-Up Commercialization:

• Extensive experience in gram to plant-scale process development.
• Involved in scale-up support, technology transfer, and commercialization.
• Preparation of Technology Transfer Packages and supporting documentation.

Operational Excellence:

• Knowledge of GLP, sample preparation, and handling of hazardous chemicals.
• Conducted MOC (Management of Change) studies, effluent minimization, and recyclability assessments.
• Focused on economization and industrial feasibility of chemical processes.

Research Collaboration:

• Proficient in literature search and route scouting for novel and efficient synthetic pathways.
• Strong teamwork capabilities and effective presentation and communication skills.
• Experienced in piloting and commissioning of new processes

The Person

Qualifications Experience:

• PhD Organic chemistry
• 18-25 Years of Industrial Experience
• Hands on experience in plant troubleshooting, working on Agro molecules, process development, synthesis and lab scale up.
