SRE Intern

As a qualified candidate for this position, you will be responsible for monitoring the availability and performance of production environments to enhance the efficiency and reliability of SaaS services. Your key responsibilities will include optimizing cloud infrastructure capacity planning exclusively on AWS, managing incidents with a strong focus on emergency responses, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve the performance and operability of various applications and services. Additionally, you will work with a range of tools including NewRelic, Grafana, Loggly, PagerDuty, and AWS services such as RDS, ESS, ECS, EC2, VPCs, Redis, Lambda, among others to enhance observability and monitoring. Addressing customer concerns regarding infrastructure availability, performance, and security will also be a crucial aspect of your role. To excel in this position, you are required to have a degree in Computer Science or a related field and a solid understanding of observability, AWS cloud services, and monitoring tools. You should be capable of monitoring a multi-tenant SaaS environment, handling live production incidents, debugging applications, and infrastructure issues using SRE best practices. Proficiency in gathering and analyzing performance metrics, along with exceptional documentation and strong interpersonal communication skills, is essential. A proactive approach to problem identification, performance improvement, and the ability to work effectively in a team-focused environment are key requirements. Programming skills in languages like Python and AWS/ITIL certification would be considered advantageous. Your expertise in AWS, cloud infrastructure, availability, DevOps, EC2, Redis, and SaaS will play a pivotal role in contributing to the success of the team and the organization as a whole.
