Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of business-critical applications across Unix/Linux, Azure, and GCP environments. The SRE will provide Tier 2/3 product support, manage application releases, automate operational tasks, and collaborate closely with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to enhance system availability and operational efficiency. 

This role blends software engineering, system administration, and operations, making it ideal for engineers passionate about automation, stability, and continuous improvement in production systems. 

Experience: 6 8 years 

Location: Mumbai / Pune / Bangalore  

Mode of Work: Full time -hybrid 

Key Responsibilities:  

•  Provide Tier 2/3 technical support for production systems and applications.  
  
• Develop automation tools and scripts to streamline system operations and improve service reliability. 
  
• Manage and monitor system configurations, troubleshoot environment and performance issues. 
  
• Identify and implement opportunities for system performance tuning, resiliency, and scalability. 
  
• Plan, document, and deploy applications and services across Unix/Linux, Azure, and GCP environments.  
  
• Collaborate with development and QA teams throughout the release lifecycle, ensuring smooth deployments and rollbacks. 
  
• Enhance release and deployment processes through automation and standardization.  
  
• Manage infrastructure resources and coordinate maintenance and downtimes across Production and Non-Production environments.  
  
• Participate in on-call support rotation (one week per month) for after-hours incident response and maintenance. 
  
• Contribute to post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives for system reliability. 
  

Requirements:  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (BE/MCA); master's preferred. 
  
• 6 8 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Production Support, or Application Operations roles. 
  
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux system administration and troubleshooting.  
  
• Proficiency in Shell, Python, and Batch scripting (mandatory). 
  
• Solid experience with Oracle Database performance tuning, monitoring, and query optimization.  
  
• Sound understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and release management. 
  
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and GCP (AWS experience is a plus). 
  
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. 
  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. 
  

Good to have skills: 

• Experience with PowerShell scripting. 
  
• Software development experience in Java or Ruby. 
  
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Git, Terraform, or Puppet. 
  
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. 
  
• Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, ELK Stack). 
  
• Understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and automation frameworks. 
  
• Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.  
  
• Understanding of incident management, change management, and ITIL processes.
