Qualifications/Skills

• Proven work experience as a Senior Video Editor
• Bachelor’s degree in film studies, cinematography or related field
• Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Premiere, After Effects and Final Cut, Audition, Capcut, Davinci Resolve)
• Knowledge of production and cinematography experience
• Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio
• Experience editing various video projects and inserting sound effects, music and transitions
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
• Understanding of video formats, compression techniques and format
• Creative mind and storytelling skills
• Thorough knowledge of timing and continuity
• Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  

Job Responsibilities

• Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format
• Deliverables: Corporate videos, testimonial videos, commercial ads, DVCs, TVCs, event videos, explainer videos, social media reels and motion graphics films.
• Establish a clear understanding of the storyline and purpose of the video's creation
• Editing Skills: Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications. Review shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity.
• Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film with dialogues and graphics.
• Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
• Create rough and final cuts.
• Understanding of Sound recording, Music compositing, and special effects
• Improve video and sound quality using various video software
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and have strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Be a great communicator, receive and interpret feedback, and meet tight deadlines
