System Administrator IT Security

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 3 -8 Years

Key Responsibilities:

Security & Compliance:

• Ensure network security using Sophos XG Firewall and system security via Sophos Endpoint Protection.
• Implement and maintain ISMS and HIPAA controls, ensuring compliance and audit readiness.
• Monitor, investigate, and resolve security incidents, ensuring proactive threat mitigation.
• Maintain ISMS and HIPAA reports, ensuring timely updates and compliance tracking.
• Configure and manage firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems for enhanced security.
• Oversee password and identity management, enforcing strong authentication policies.

Cloud & Infrastructure Management:

• Manage AWS cloud services, ensuring availability, security, and cost optimization.
• Monitor system performance and network communication, troubleshooting issues proactively.
• Implement backup and recovery policies, ensuring data integrity and disaster recovery readiness.
• Set up and enforce IT policies for system and network usage.
• Manage hardware and software asset inventory, ensuring proper tracking and utilization.

IT System Administration:

• Install, update, and maintain Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.
• Install, update, and troubleshoot software development tools and ticketing tools (Jira, etc.).
• Maintain GIT source code repositories, ensuring version control and access security.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Configure and manage Android and iOS device policies within an enterprise environment.
• Oversee Google Workspace administration, ensuring seamless collaboration and security.
• Manage user access provisioning, including CCTV and biometric access control.

Operational & Vendor Management:

• Arrange for hardware repairs and replacements, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely procurement and service delivery.
• Maintain internal IT documentation and knowledge base (e.g., internal Wiki).
• Travel to the Bangalore/Mangalore vice-versa office as needed to support IT operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience in computer hardware and networking.
• Hands-on experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux system administration.
• Expertise in user administration, access control, and security policies.
• Strong knowledge of ISMS/HIPAA implementation and compliance standards.
• Experience in configuring and managing VPNs, virtual machines (VMs), and firewalls.
• Familiarity with GIT, software development tools, and ticketing tools (Jira, etc.).
• Experience managing UEM, DLP, and MDM solutions for endpoint security.
• Scripting skills (Python, Shell, or PowerShell) are a plus.
