Sr. Supply Chain Data Analyst

The Global Supply Chain Data Analyst II Interprets data and turns it into information which can offer ways to improve a business, thus affecting business decisions. Data Analysts gather information from various sources and interpret patterns and trends, providing a clear picture of the business landscape. This role will contribute to numerous BI projects in various stages of the product lifecycle. The successful candidate possesses the energy to deliver tasks individually and within the team utilizing various business intelligence (BI) solutions, including PowerBi dashboards, advanced SQL, skillset developing reporting solutions.

MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (List in order of importance)

• Quickly demonstrate understanding of business use cases and implications of various data structures and visualization options
• Translates business requirements into technical requirements to implement complex solutions.
• Manage Project Priorities and deliverable using Agile methodology in JIRA platform.
• Analyze data systems and develop detailed specifications for implementation and documentation.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in reporting and automation solutions and consult business stakeholders.
• Mentors, collaborates with and advises team members on PowerBi, SQL and BI and other reporting solutions.
• Build and/or manage complex data sets and dataflows (ex. PowerBi dataflows, Snowflakes Data Warehouses, AWS, Azure)
• Author complex automated or manual reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
• Provide support to report authors on visualization usage, data modeling, DAX and Power Query.
• Designs, builds, tests, implements, maintains, and supports BI deliverables with a focus on Microsoft Power BI.
• Understand business reporting specifications and dataset needs, relating technical requirements to architectural and other resources (i.e., SQL)
• Mix great design and user experience to deliver easy to consume reports and data visualizations that users love.
• Partner with IT to drive innovation and key projects to find new best practices across the supply chain operations.
• Serve as technical expert on SAP and SAP APO data sources to facilitate reporting using PowerBi, QlikView or similar data visualization tools.
• Production and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly reports and dashboards.
• Advancing analytical maturity toward producing Predictive analytics

QUALIFICATIONS (Education/Training, Experience and Certifications)

• Bachelor's Degree (Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or similar) required.
• Master's Degree (preferred)
• Minimum 5+ years of performing system improvements and developing automated reporting solutions and data visualizations.
• Excellent communication skills and Fluent in English
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a virtual environment.
• Able to effectively work on multiple projects.
• 3+ years of experience in building and optimizing large and complicated SQL statements.
• 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Power BI as an enterprise reporting solution.
• Knowledge and experience on how to grow and integrate Power BI services by designing and deploying workspaces, data models, app tiers, gateways, report services, dashboard support, Team's integration, and Mobile app deployment is preferred.

Certification or significant progress towards completing one or more of the following Microsoft certification exams preferred:

• Exam DA-100: Analyzing Data with Microsoft Power BI
• Exam 70-778: Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Microsoft Power BI

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those necessary to perform the job competently)

• Advanced excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, logical functions, and VBA.
• Strong experience with PowerBi, Qlik, or similar data visualization tools.
• Strong experience with MS Access database.
• Expert in creating and optimized SQL statements, CTEs, Stored Procedures, Functions.
• Strong knowledge in creating data models and complex SQL statements and optimization in Snowflake.
• Experience in programming languages such as Python or R is preferred.
• Ability to interact and communicate complex concepts with all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical abilities

• Strong multi-tasking skills

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

• Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.
• While examining the processes at a warehouse, associate could be exposed to an industrial environment: i.e. the associate may work near loud moving mechanical machinery and maybe exposed to dust, fumes, or gases.
• Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems.
• New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.
• A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.
• Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing,bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
