Roles & Responsibilities:

As a Senior Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) Packages for building enterprise-level data integration and data transformations solutions.

• Designing and developing SSIS Packages/ SQL ETL solutions to prepare and load data from numerous upstream systems especially SharePoint.
• Building data transformations with SSIS including importing data from files, SharePoint Lists, moving data from one database platform to another
• Debugging and tuning SSIS packages, ETL processes to ensure accurate and efficient movement of data
• Designing Data Models, and implementing creating and maintaining database objects (tables, views, indexes)
• Analyzing and developing strategies to import and transfer data between source, staging, and destination databases.
• Testing and preparing ETL processes for deployment to production and non-production environments.
• Designing and developing SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views and triggers and creating advanced SQL code, and use of MS tools to ensure solid query performance.
• Working with star schema and dimensional modelling, fact table loading, data staging, backout and deduping processes
• Working with multiple file formats and use of SSIS to accommodate imports of those source types.
• Designing and maintaining metadata models and complex ETL packages
• Document technical specifications, data mappings, and solution designs for Power BI projects.
• Partner with data engineers to develop and maintain data definitions, data lineage and data cataloging using best in-class solutions.
• Performs duties per the role as required/assigned by Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of experience with SSIS Package Design, Development and Deployment
• Experience: Familiarity with Microsoft and SQL products and platforms
• Certifications: An SSIS or SSRS certification or Azure Data Factory from Microsoft
• Skills: Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server data tools, and database functions
