Sr. SSIS Developer
Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled SSIS and Power BI Developer to join our data engineering and analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and creating interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI . This role requires strong technical expertise in data transformation, visualization, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: SSIS (ETL Development): Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable SSIS packages for ETL workflows. Extract data from various sources (e.g., flat files, APIs, databases) and load into data warehouse systems. Implement data validation, cleansing, transformation , and error handling mechanisms. Monitor ETL processes and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks or failures. Work closely with DBAs and data architects to ensure high-quality data solutions. Power BI (Data Visualization): Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service . Create and manage Power BI datasets, dataflows, measures, and calculated columns using DAX. Connect Power BI to multiple data sources including SQL Server, Excel, and cloud-based systems . Optimize report performance and user experience. Must-Have Skills: 4+ years of hands-on experience with SSIS and SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures, views, indexing, etc.). 2+ years of experience in Power BI development , including DAX and Power Query (M language). Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL architecture, and data modeling . Experience in building parameterized reports, drill-through reports, and scheduled refreshes in Power BI. Familiarity with version control tools (Git, TFS, etc.). Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills. Nice to Have: Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database , or Power BI Gateway . Knowledge of SSRS , SSAS , or other BI tools is a plus. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with DevOps CI/CD for BI deployments.
