You will partner with product & engineering/scrum teams to review requirements, build automation, and teach engineers how to maintain tests in BDD/TDD format. It is your responsibility to devise a comprehensive test strategy for a new product and ensure its execution across multiple teams. Monitoring tests and reporting/resolving failures will be an essential part of your role. You will collaborate with manual QA to automate repetitive and critical test cases to create an automation test suite. Researching new tools and techniques to improve quality and providing quality reports with recommendations for improvement will be key tasks. Developing/coding test cases and conducting risk analysis for products are also part of your responsibilities. You are expected to drive innovation in the quality discipline by researching and proposing changes to processes and tools. Working in a team environment and serving as a technical resource and mentor are important aspects of the role. It is crucial to follow all CDK Global policies and procedures and complete all mandatory assigned compliance tasks and acknowledgements. Required Skills include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in IT, computer science, or related field preferred, along with a minimum of 5 years of directly related work experience in one of these fields. You should have 5+ years of End-to-End Automated testing experience using one or more frameworks such as BDD/Cucumber, Robot Framework, or TestNG. Additionally, 7+ years of engineering experience with various programming languages like JavaScript, React, Node, Python, or Java is required. You must be able to code automation scripts for various QA activities and focus on automated processes. Experience with source control (Git, GitHub Flow), web applications, web services, and back-end white-box testing is essential. An ongoing thirst for new knowledge and ideas, and a passion for software engineering as a QA Automation Engineer is expected. Experience working with distributed teams and participating in manual functional testing by developing new test coverage, as required, are necessary. Creative problem-solving, proficient debugging, profiling, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are also important. Preferred Skills & Qualifications include the ability to operate computer hardware and other office equipment, engage in repetitive motion, and remain in a stationary position constantly. You should be able to adjust posture for movement, ascend and descend frequently, observe or inspect details frequently, communicate information and ideas so that others will understand constantly, and detect auditory cues constantly. Exposure to confined spaces, operating a vehicle safely, and navigating airports, transportation, and/or other travel-related tasks are also preferred.
