Role Overview: As a Senior SDET Lead at a major telecommunications company, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust test frameworks, leading test automation strategies, and ensuring seamless integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Your critical role will involve end-to-end testing of frontend and backend components, including web UI and RESTful APIs. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and data engineers to ensure model testability, reproducibility, and alignment with business goals. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for UI, REST APIs, and data pipelines across platforms like Databricks, ADF, and Snowflake. - Perform data validation at all stages including input datasets, transformation logic, model features, predictions, and outputs to ensure accuracy and consistency. - Develop test automation scripts in Python for validating data workflows and machine learning model outputs. - Conduct API testing using tools such as Advanced REST Client, Postman, or similar, and troubleshoot using browser console and developer tools. - Define comprehensive software testing strategies encompassing functional, performance, regression, and security testing. - Maintain a robust suite of test cases to fully validate code functionality and performance. - Evaluate and adapt test automation tools to support evolving project needs and optimize testing efforts. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of testing practices. - Mentor junior team members and contribute to the evolution of best practices in quality engineering. - Conduct threat analysis, prioritize vulnerabilities, provide remediation guidance, and validate the effectiveness of applied fixes. - Perform regression testing during deployment cycles to ensure system stability and backward compatibility. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 3-6 years of experience as an SDET, QA Automation Engineer, or related role. - Experience in leading and mentoring a team of QA engineers. - Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver. - Experience with unit testing and test frameworks such as TestNG or JUnit. - Solid experience with REST API testing using Postman and RestAssured. - Automated Testing with Python (PyTest) for APIs, data pipelines, and ML models. - Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling. - Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. - Familiarity with containerized environments like Docker and Kubernetes. - Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber. - Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Working knowledge of SQL for data validation. - ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
