Job Description

Role Overview: As a Sr. Sales Representative at Avient, your primary responsibility will be to aggressively pursue sales of products to customers in a specific geography or market. You will be tasked with forecasting and achieving annual objectives for sales, margins, and volume growth. Your focus will be on securing business from both prospective and current accounts to meet sales objectives. Your success will be measured by your ability to sell at all levels of management, build strong relationships, and ensure that Avient remains the preferred choice for customers. Additionally, you must be able to function independently with minimal direction, drawing on your 3-5 years of prior experience in sales. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver profitable revenue growth through robust new business development - Achieve gross margin targets as a percentage of sales - Approach the sales process professionally and effectively using customer-centric selling skills and tools such as scorecards, business reviews, and prospecting techniques - Establish, track, and close new business targets in line with long-term growth objectives - Implement marketing programs and provide feedback on resource needs and emerging opportunities - Develop and manage sales plans, budgets, and expense budgets - Prospect and cold call to generate new business opportunities - Contribute to the company's planning of long- and short-term business objectives - Work with channel partners to close business based on customer requirements - Act as a primary company representative at trade shows, conferences, and other promotional settings - Recommend Avient product solutions based on customer requirements - Maintain current accounts and develop new accounts by understanding customer needs and competitive pressures Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Polymer and Chemicals), B.Tech, CIPET, or relevant field - Minimum 5-7 years of professional experience in sales, specifically in masterbatch - Proficiency in tactical sales techniques, strategic selling discipline, and cold calling - Excellent communication skills and customer-centric approach - Strong critical thinking, negotiation, and software skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SAP Business Warehouse) - Previous experience in the Plastic and Polymer industry is mandatory (Note: The job description did not include any additional details about the company.),
