Sr. Python Backend Developer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Backend Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in backend development using Python, building scalable applications, and integrating with databases and third-party services. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend systems and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Integrate backend systems with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and external APIs.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Optimize application performance, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in production environments.
• Mentor and guide junior developers in backend development and Python best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and agile development processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in Python backend development.
• Strong expertise in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Solid experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience in building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools like Docker/Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of security, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing, and debugging techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka) or background job frameworks (Celery).
• Knowledge of performance optimization, caching strategies, and scalable architecture design.
• Experience with DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.
