Job Description

As a Senior Product Designer at PitchBook, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering impactful experiences for the data operations team. Your responsibilities will include: - Expertly utilizing user-centered design and systems thinking to create solutions for complex data and user workflow challenges while ensuring a highly usable and scalable product experience aligned with the long-term strategic direction. - Conducting user research and data analysis to understand user needs, behaviors, and motivators for engagement and business value realization. - Collaborating with product management and engineering teams to develop product strategies, detailed requirements, and designs that enhance user experience and efficiency. - Identifying high-impact user and business problems and defining product experience strategies and solutions. - Developing journey maps, task and user flows, and design concepts to inform product strategies and priorities. - Translating abstract concepts into simple, elegant, and innovative designs through sketches, diagrams, prototypes, and final design executions. - Leveraging design systems and interaction patterns to consolidate multiple tools into a unified, adaptable, and scalable platform catering to diverse user groups. - Monitoring and evaluating the performance of design solutions and identifying strategies for enhancement. - Driving continuous improvement in work and product teams to achieve greater impact and value. - Contributing to evolving design practices, tools, methods, and the overall design maturity of the organization. - Supporting the company's vision and values by role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors. - Participating in various company initiatives and projects as requested. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in Digital Design, Human-Centered Design, Psychology, or equivalent. - 5+ years of professional experience in a Product Design/UX role designing for complex systems, products, or applications. - Expert-level knowledge of user-centered design practices and demonstrated experience applying them to achieve business outcomes. - A portfolio demonstrating design thinking skills, modern design best practices, and the ability to create innovative and meaningful experiences. - Experience conducting qualitative user research and analyzing user data to guide design decisions. - Strong sense of ownership, accountability, intellectual curiosity, and collaboration-driven interaction style. - Proficiency with design, collaboration, and analysis tools such as Figma, Lucid, and Mixpanel.
