Job Title: Sr Preproduction Artist

Job overview: The Sr Preproduction Artist will be responsible for visualizing scripts and transforming concepts into clear, engaging storyboards that support the overall vision of our 2D animation projects. The ideal candidate will have exceptional drawing skills, a deep understanding of animation principles, and at least 10+ years of professional experience in the animation industry.

Key Responsibilities

· Create detailed storyboards that clearly convey narrative, emotion, timing, and camera language.

· Develop polished animatic with accurate timing, pacing, and continuity for production.

· Design original characters, including model sheets, poses, expressions, and turnarounds.

· Visualize scripts and concepts creatively while maintaining consistency with the project’s style and director’s vision.

· Collaborate closely with directors, writers, and the production team to refine storytelling.

· Ensure all pre-production deliverables meet quality standards and project timelines.

· Participate in creative discussions, offer visual solutions, and adapt to feedback quickly.

· Prepare production-ready files and maintain organized documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· 10 + years of experience in storyboarding, animatic, and character design for animation.

· Strong drawing skills with excellent understanding of anatomy, proportion, perspectives, and acting.

· Proficiency in storyboard and animatic tools such as Adobe Animate, Photoshop, or equivalent.

· Solid grasp of cinematic storytelling, shot composition, timing, and staging.

· Ability to design appealing and original characters in varied styles.

· Strong sense of storytelling, rhythm, and visual clarity.

· Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Schedule: Day shift.

Ability to commute / Relocate.

• Trivandrum, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work.
