Job Description

You will be responsible for providing professional and execution leadership to a team at Ameriprise, ensuring successful delivery and execution of technology projects and operations. Your key responsibilities will include: - Managing the execution of year-over-year strategies for the assigned practice area. - Transforming strategies into prioritized initiatives and managing urgent issues without losing focus on longer-term deliverables. - Providing leadership and management support for key process and deliverable standardization, methodology development and compliance, lessons learned, and enterprise practice area life cycle tools. - Overseeing the execution and maintenance of common standards and methodologies for the practice area. - Ensuring processes are defined, tracked, and executed consistently to maximize project success. - Owning the continuous improvement and process optimization processes of the practice area. - Managing the practice area governance processes and creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for assigned practice area methodologies. - Leveraging technical expertise to drive adoption of practice area methodology, tools, and processes. - Building and developing an effective organization with appropriate skills, organization structure, and direction to satisfy current and future business needs. You should possess the following qualifications for this role: - 15+ years of experience in project and process management, including working in a leadership or management role. - Considerable knowledge of ITIL processes, SDLC, project management process, and practice area best practices. - Highly effective verbal and written communication skills. - Proven project leadership experience, including the ability to build effective teams. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of personalities. Preferred qualifications include experience building and maintaining a resource network, successful work experience in a large corporate environment, effective influencing skills, and prior work experience in the Financial Services industry.
